Ondo town Regional style of dress

Ondo is a town in the Ondo state of Nigeria. It's one of the Yoruba speaking towns in Nigeria. The traditional clothing is worn by Ondo people during occasion ara Alaari, Sanyan and Etu.

The picture below shows a different colour variation of alaari worn at occasions such as funerals.

This is the sanyan asoke that is the white and tan colour also worn at burial or occasion based on the custom.






This is an Etu Aso oke worn at a burial ceremony in ondo town. Igbakun round necklace is also worn as part of the children or grandchildren  of the deceased




This is how the aso oke is made locally with various threads to give the effect of alaari colour of purple, blue and turquoise
